The Lettuce Bag is part of the Fresh Produce Series — a growing collection of everyday ingredients from our homes and our grandparents' gardens, brought to life as wearable objects.

Inspired by the familiar sight of fresh lettuce wrapped in thin supermarket plastic, the Lettuce Bag celebrates the beauty hidden within everyday rituals. Grocery shopping, unpacking vegetables, and preparing simple meals become the starting point for transforming an ordinary object into a wearable statement.

Like all Chimera Lab pieces, the Lettuce Bag begins as a flat photograph before being reconstructed into a soft sculptural form. The result blurs the boundary between two-dimensional imagery and physical reality, creating the illusion of carrying a freshly wrapped head of lettuce.

Continuing Chimera Lab's fascination with reimagining overlooked everyday subjects as wearable art, the Lettuce Bag invites the familiar to be seen in a completely new way.

Made from water-resistant softshell fabric, the bag is lightly padded for structure and finished with a silver-tone YKK zipper. The detachable stainless steel chain strap allows multiple wearing options - shoulder, crossbody, or hand carry - with lengths ranging from 60 cm to 110 cm.

Handmade in small batches to minimize waste, with subtle variations that make each piece unique.

Care Tips:

• Spot cleaning does wonders!
• For deeper cleaning: machine wash cold (30 °C) inside a mesh bag after removing the strap
• Do not bleach, tumble dry, or dry clean
• If ironing: low heat, protective cloth, no steam
